Understanding our international competitors: Sweden, the United Kingdom and Germany

In Spring, the Association organised two seminars on the most sold wines in Sweden and the United Kingdom. On 4 May, the Swedish market was analysed by the expert Carlos Zalve of Prodevo Consulting and 8 wines were tasted. On 7 June, the UK wine market was discussed by the expert Charlotte Hey, Editorial Director of The Drinks Business, and 10 wines were tasted. Figures and comments on the UK wine market were provided by Rosa Angulo Peláez, Head of the Wine Department of the ICEX. On 16 October, a seminar was offered on the German market, led by the wine journalist David Schwarzwälder, who is also a professor at the universities of Geisenheim and Wädenswil and author of several books on wine and food.

Isabel Peñaranda, Regional Trade Director and ICEX representative in Navarre, also participated in all three seminars.
