Cascante is a small vinegrowing town in the south of Navarre, characterised by small vineyards covering over 1,100 hectares of land.The town's vinegrowers joined forces in 1951 to create a Bodega which would eventually merge with the Los Arcos Co-op (Tierra Estella) and Sesma (Ribera Alta). This has allowed them to blend wines from the three sub-areas to achieve perfectly balanced wines.
Bodegas Nuestra Señora del Romero is considered to be among the most important in Navarre, and a pioneer in the varietal conversion of vineyards. Today it has 1,000 members and a capacity for 12 million litres. Its wines are the result of top quality grapes from its own vineyards and painstaking vinification.
